I remember that I(occupational therapist) hope to be a special education school teacher.
I was rehabilitation staff in the medical center in Japan as a OT.
In those days I went to go to many workshop for skill up.
Almost workshop ,they are not free ,it took some money for study.
Of course , other cost took, using train or bus , staying hotel ,eating in the restaurant.
One day, I heard that special education starts ,many special education school change will have changed ,and occupational therapist join education system for supporting children and teachers in a workshop.
Hearing it, I think that a chance has come by coming special education.
I may be a teacher .
【Japanese economic crisis】
When I saw Japanese bubble economic movement has broken down in 1991.
Many university students could not get job, and many students tried to be a exam to be a teacher, and the magnification of the exam grow up 10 times, 20times …。
I felt the race was so hard, so I gave up to be a teacher .
But special education has started, I have two licenses one side teachers licenses and other hand occupational therapist license . so I am scarcity value person.
【after the workshop】
The day after the workshop, I started studying for success the exam for to be a teacher.
I research how to try the exam, , what is the special education , interview ,group discussion and so on. I research many information using internet , read many books Japanese exam to be a teacher.
Half one year after, I tried the exam, but not success.
Second try, I success the exam.
I retired the medical center as a OT , and to be a special education teacher.
In the school, I saw many cultural gap between medical and school education.
Now, I saw many cooperation between school teacher and rehabilitation stuff.
But I feel the cooperation in the school is not enough .
Because The expertise and duty and culture are different between school teacher and rehabilitation stuff. and happens trouble , dissatisfactions , and so on.
For making good cooperation, I believe that we need to see other jobs expertises and culture.
So I will show you Japanese special education school culture, daily episode.
